Blake is 1!
I can't believe my little guy is one already. This year has gone by so fast with so many changes in our lives and Blake is defintely a blessing to our family. He is so much fun and learning more and more everyday.

I made a monkey cake for our little monkey.

Blake was so excited to get presents and have toys that are just his.
FIRE STATION

Our ward playgroup went to the fire station a couple of weeks ago for a tour. The kids had so much fun seeing the trucks. They were even able to go inside one of them. Kellen and his friend Carter discovered the bell in front of the truck and had fun ringing the bell.

Football Season is HERE!!!!
Shawn's old co-workers gave him 2 tickets to a pre-season Cardinals game. They were great tickets and although the Cards lost Shawn and I had a blast. Thanks for the tickets you guys!

Here is what my future Sunday nights are going to look like. Oh how I love/hate football season. Right after dinner was done the boys went back to watching football. Kellen still has his football jersey on but Blake got a little dirty eating dinner.
The Injury
So I was making dinner on Labor Day and the boys were in the room playing. All of the sudden Shawn and I hear a blood curdling cry form Blake. Shawn runs in there and finds Blake with this injury. We think Kellen hit him with a book. I was so worried and mad I didn't know what to do. After we got Blake settled down we decided to watch the swelling and make sure it didn't spread to his eye.
These are our bruised boys. If you notice Kellen has a healing black eye from jumping off his bed and landing on the arm of his chair. What can I say, my life is never boring with these two.

Here is want Blake looked like the next morning.

Like Father, like Sons?
Kellen and Blake love playing with their doctor kit. They other day they played "Doctor" back and forth for about an hour before nap time. Then as soon as they got up they started again. I just had to take a picture.
First Day of Medical School
Shawn just before he left for his first day of medical school. He was both nervous and excited.
Kellen wanted in on the picture too.
Gone Fishing

This summer we went to the Mecham Ruinion. While there Shawn took Kellen fishing for the first time. Kellen was so excited to go fishing with his Lightning McQueen fishing pole. I think Shawn took him everyday. To bad they didn't catch anything

Let's Go D-Backs!!
This summer has been alot of first for us. We took Kellen to his first baseball game. Even though the D-backs lost we had fun and were suprised that Kellen lasted till the 8th inning.

We Moved

Shawn and I have moved our family to Glendale Arizona! I never thought that I would be living on the westside but here I am living in Glendale. For those of you who don't know Shawn has just strated Medical School at Midwestern University. I am so proud of him. I was a little nervous about the move, I mean it is a BIG change for us, Shawn back in school and gone ALL the time, moving back into an apartment with our 2 boys and not knowing a sole over here to lean on. I was stressed out. Even the first week was hard and I felt like I was never going to be done unpacking. Well Shawn is gone alot (last week he studied over 20 hours not including school), we are in an apartment but it is a good sized place that holds most of our stuff (our storage room is full), and I have made a friend or two. Kellen has become best buddies with a little boy that lives in the complex and they are sooooo cute together. He asks me everyday to play with Carter. It is nice to live on campus and know that everyone else is in the same boat as we are and I know that the girls that I have met will be a great support system for me when I need someone. I have enjoyed the ward so far and I am looking forward to Enrichment tomorrow night so that I can meet and get to know more of the women in our new ward. All in all I think that I am going to love it here and can already tell that I will think back fondly to these times in our lives ten years from now.

Family Pictures!

We finally had family pictures taken with Blake in our family! My cousin's wife Natalie took them for us outside my grandma's house in Utah. Thanks Natalie, you did a fantastic job. I am so excited to hang them up in our house.

KELLEN IS 3!!!!

I can't believe it but Kellen turned 3 on June 19th. A couple of days before his birthday I asked Kellen what he wanted for his birthday cake. Since he is obsessed with the letter K I was not surprised when he said he wanted a K cake. The only problem was where to find a K cake, so I decided to make it myself. Of course Kellen wanted to help make the cake. Can you tell how much help he was?

Shawn's niece Jolie was in town staying with us so she got to join in on the fun.

The finished product. I think it turned out pretty good considering I had never tried anything like this before and part of the cake broke off and I tried to "glue" it back on with frosting.

We had a low key party with the family. Thanks everyone who came Kellen had a blast. Kellen enjoying his gifts.

Blake watching the gifts being open.

3 Pounds in a MONTH!!!
I took Blake in for his 6 month check-up on Friday and was suprised when the doctor told me that Blake had gained almost 3 pounds ( 2 onuces shy) since his last appointment. I said 3 pounds in 2 months is pretty good. He said no; not since his last check-up but his last appointment at 5 months when he had his ear infections. I mean I knew he had been getting bigger but not 3 pounds in a month bigger, that is a lot. Let me explain that just before his last appointment I stopped nursing and started fromula. Also, at that appoinment the doctor told me that I should start him on baby food. Let me tell you Blake loves baby food. Which was a releif since he did not like rice cereal or oatmeal. So after 5 1/2 months of having a skinny baby I am getting another chunck. We love hhim so much and I am so glad that he is so happy all of the time, even if he pukes everywhere. Now we just need to work on the sleeping through the night.

Blakes Stats
weight 17lbs. 14 oz.
height 26 1/2 inches
